The rain on the tin roof clambered for our attention
As we made love to the saddest song I'd ever heard
Cold and broken Hallelujahs
You are unspeakably lush
I swallow the beautiful words that tumble from your mouth
Curl my tongue and in and capture them
Crashing down on my heart
Clambering on its iron roof
Scars run fracturing lines in your blue eyes
A patchwork quilt of clouds above us
Swallow me whole
Hold me so close we melt into each other
Unrecognizable in our new form
Close all of the spaces between our separate selves
Friction away all of the cold cold pain
Make the seasons change in me
It's been a long cold winter without you.

Quite possibly the most touching piece I've read in a long while. You write very well.
